Initial requirements

1. Open water diver (OWD) certification: For beginners in diving.

2025 Update: End of SSI crossover and new requirements

Important! Effective January 1, 2025, SSI will eliminate compact crossover programs. All instructors will be required to complete specific instructor training course (ITC) modules and pass an instructor evaluation (IE).

How much does the SSI instructor course cost and how long does it last?

SSI Instructor Course Objective

Train yourself as a highly qualified instructor for real life with the possibility of gaining experience after the course at no additional cost.

SSI Instructor Course Duration

It will be 15 intensive days so we recommend you come with enthusiasm and strength!

We will divide the course into 4 parts

1• Prior digital training, cost of digital and physical material: €500

We will include personalized advice and a study plan for optimal preparation.

2• AI Assistant Instructor Course, cost: €800

For 5 days you will learn to give theoretical classes in the classroom and practical classes in the pool on almost all the skills of the Open Water Diver course.

3• Instructor Training Course ITC Course, cost: €800

For 8 days you will master the theoretical classes of some specialty and PRO courses such as rescue and dive master among others.

You will also learn to teach the most complex exercises of the open water and stress and rescue program in the pool and in open water.

4• Instructor evaluation, cost €500 (minimum 4 candidates):

For 2 days you will demonstrate everything you have learned to achieve the following instructor certifications among others and be able to teach these courses:

• Open water diver
• Advanced adventure
• Perfect buoyancy
• Nitrox
• Science of diving
• Stress and rescue
• Dive guide (dive master)

• April, 1st to 15th
• June, from 2nd to 17th
• November, from 3rd to 18th.
