It seems that everything is improving little by little and although we are aware that the coronavirus is still there causing trouble, we are going to explain how to go diving in Gran Canaria in phase 1.

We are “lucky” to be a place with a very low rate of active infections, but we are still going to use all available means so that you can enjoy diving again with all the safety guarantees both in and out of the water.

We have collected all these measures in our Protocol "Covid Free North Diving» which you can download at the end of this post.

But first we will answer the most frequently asked questions about our activity.

When does the diving center open and what are its hours?

We are open since May 11th and water activities will be starting on Wednesday May 13th.

The scheduled hours will be the usual ones for the center, from 09:00 to 18:00, although these hours will be adapted according to the needs and demands of our clients.

Can we go on as normal?

Yes, but remember that this “new normal” involves wearing a mask and washing your hands before entering the diving center. Maintain the recommended safety distance of 2 meters and avoid direct contact with other people.

Don’t forget to review our “Covid Free Protocol.”

However, at Buceo Norte we will do everything possible to ensure that your stay at the diving centre is only as long as necessary.

Oh, and remember to make an appointment in advance to avoid crowds.

Do I need to make an appointment?

Yes. We advise you to call us before coming so we will have everything ready when you arrive.

Request an Appointment

We ask for your patience if we cannot answer you immediately. We are working to serve you as best as possible.

Can I rent diving equipment?

Yes. You can rent your diving equipment without any problems, except for the regulator mouthpiece, which must be your own.

But remember that we can only rent diving equipment to people who do guided dives with Buceo Norte.

That is, if you do not bring your own regulator mouthpiece, we will provide you with a new one that you will keep. The cost of the mouthpiece is €4.5.

If it is more convenient for you, you can reserve your diving equipment at this link» Book Diving Equipment

Are all diving services available, such as baptisms, courses, dives, etc.?

Yes, but we can only do guided dives since the courses and baptisms require physical contact, which is not authorized at the moment.

Remember that it will be necessary to ask appointment only and book your activity well in advance.

What do I need to know before going to Buceo Norte?

At Buceo Norte we strive to ensure that all future and long-time divers feel at home and know how to dive in Gran Canaria in phase 1. That is why we ask for your maximum collaboration to comply with the safety measures so that we can once again enjoy diving consciously.
