Profile from the Sardine Gardens immersion
Diving with a depth maximum of 16 meters with a duration of about 60 minutes. The current can be decisive and depending on it the route will be changed to make a circular route with the current in your favour.
Good buoyancy control is essential:
Long-distance immersion, at the beginning of the dive you navigate at a depth of 5 meters for 7 minutes and then make a controlled descent without reference, at the end of the dive the safety stop is made while sailing.
Mandatory use of buoy: It is mandatory to enter and exit at the designated entrance to avoid possible problems with motor vehicles and in the event of having to make an emergency ascent in another place, always throw a signaling buoy before ascending to the surface.
Mandatory use of cable cutters or knives: In this area, non-professional fishing with a “gun-forbidden” rod is permitted, so it is necessary to have a line cutter in case of accidental entanglement with a fishing line.
What to see during the Sardine Gardens marine life dive?
One of the main attractions of this dive is the corals in all their shapes, sizes and colours. The Yellow Gorgonians are the protagonists.
During the dive we will also be able to observe a multitude of species associated with the sandbank such as a Sand Eel Garden (Garden Eels) that seems to have no end. It is also very common to find a multitude of elasmobranchs (sharks and rays) on the sand.
We will take a tour to see most of the species of hard and soft corals present in Canary waters and observe the ecology and physiology of the different specimens.
Once we reach the sandbank we will enter the envelope Sea of Eels in search of sharks and rays.
When returning, it is usual to look for species characteristic of this area such as moray eels, scarlet lady shrimp, etc.
