Pro Life: Dedicate yourself to your passion
As we have been doing since 2022, when we became the first SSI Pro Instructor Training Center in Gran Canaria, we will continue with our professional line, training from guides to diving instructors at all levels. If you are passionate about diving and want to make it your profession, do not hesitate to train in one of the best diving spots in all of Spain. At Buceo Norte, we have the privilege of being located in a strategic location just a few meters from the coast of Sardina del Norte (Gáldar, Gran Canaria) where, in addition to being able to dive almost all year round, you can enjoy the great biodiversity of the place, and the well-known angel shark sanctuary.
Our professional training is focused on learning “on site”, as we not only offer you the option of obtaining your certification by meeting the minimum requirements of each course, but you can also train on a daily basis at the diving center, attending any of our services at no extra cost and with no limit on dives as long as there is availability. In this way, you will train by being present in real situations, recognizing what you have studied during academic sessions or training in the water and learning from other professionals without any kind of responsibility.

Xtreme Diver: The ocean without limits
One of the new features this year at Buceo Norte is the introduction to Extended Rage (XR) diving, to meet the needs of the most demanding divers, offering them more exciting and extreme diving experiences. To do this, we bring you different courses to push your limits. From diving with waves and currents, to advanced diving in wrecks, in combination with our Scubajets (underwater scooters) or decompression diving. All this combined in a single package that includes: 4 certifications, 2 online courses, 3 theoretical-practical classes, 2 dives in confined waters and 7 dives in open waters.

Atlantic Breath: Freediving retreat in the land of volcanoes
This year we are also growing in freediving. In addition to incorporating the level 1 course, we are bringing a freediving retreat for those people who are looking to connect with the environment and with themselves. It is a retreat in one of the places with the best climate in all of Spain, the Canary Islands. Specifically, we are bringing a retreat to the island of Gran Canaria to welcome people interested in both the practice and training of freediving, as well as in discovering different places on the island, doing other activities in nature and, above all, meeting other people and living new experiences. In addition to the days scheduled for the retreat, there is the possibility of personalizing the experience with additional training or different activities outside the water, so it is only a matter of contacting us and organizing your getaway.

Get out of the Wave: Freediving for surfing
If you practice surfing and have had a few scares underwater, or you simply want to gain confidence and self-control in the most difficult moments, this is your chance. Freediving can be practiced as a recreational sport or for competition, but it can also be applied to other activities related to the sea. And in those moments when the wave gives you no respite, you must learn to stay calm and get out of the situation as best as possible.
For this reason, we bring you this theoretical-practical workshop on how to control body and mind through apnea. In this session of just 1 day, you will learn to connect with your mammalian diving reflex to continue “breathing” underwater and get out of the wave without any problem.

Coming soon: Classified Diving
In addition to all of the above, Buceo Norte is going one step further to become a Classified Diving Center. With this, we want to offer our services to people with reduced mobility or sensory disorders, training our instructors to be able to teach diving courses or carry out adapted dives. In this way, we will meet the specific needs of students or certified divers so that they can achieve their goals. For us, conscious diving has no limits and everyone should be able to enjoy it without any inconvenience.
